Title: Temporal Dissociation:
A Phenomenological and Neurophysiological Investigation
Supervisors and Advisors
: Prof M Berk, Dr A Anderson, Prof R
Carpernter, Prof T Robbins, Prof P Fletcher, A Prof Peter Brotchie
Description
: This research, conducted jointly at Melbourne University
and the University of Cambridge has explored the perception of time and
1/6
how illusions of temporal perception can elucidate the brain’s functioning.
The research applies psychophysical methods of measuring eye movements
to assess time perception in well participants given ketamine as a
dissociative agent and in patients with bipolar disorder. It also utilises
neuroimaging by fMRI and EEG
